What a difference a year makes and here we are twelve months since the spectre of a worldwide lockdown descended upon us… with lifts and locks and bumps in the road… gardens and nature have been a constant in a year of challenges.. 

And Easter is here and wor gardening chap, Tom Pattinson, is ready to roll in the clover and relax in the longish grass…

09:24: Owls are one of our most written about and cinematic birds… from Harry Potter to Winnie the Pooh… we love owls and so too does Tom Cadwallender from the British Trust for Ornithology.

14:08: Now the clocks have sprung forward, it’s just so wonderful to have the longer days in the garden… and Tom’s been up with the larks and getting busy in the greenhouse…

20:58: Fulmars at 2 o’clock… dive-dive-dive… yes, I’ve had the famous head peck before and we join a hatless Steve Lowe from the Northumberland Rivers Trust … who is getting close to them while doing his bit to Keep Britain Tidy… on a beach clean…

26:04: Of course, owls are mostly associated with the night but Tom Cadwallander’s been noticing owls in the daytime so how come? Well, let’s catch up with Tom for a bit of owlish wisdom…
